Thailand is home to the greatest sepak takraw players in the world – likely the most insane foot-based ball sport on the planet. Played on hard courts, the powerful South East Asian sport combines the power of volleyball with some of the football’s best gravity-defying scissor kicks.
Since their store opening in Bangkok, back in 2015, 24 Kilates had plenty of collaborations to honour their new home. The latest celebrates sepak takraw sport and was created in collaboration with Hummel HIVE – the premium division of the Danish brand. The collection include a special edition of Marathona sneaker silhouette and matching apparel. The apparel collection consists of a pair of shorts and two jerseys.
The vintage Hummel Marathona runner has a one-piece upper, made with supple black leather. Golden branding and tonal stitching has been added on the heel and tongue. The shoes come with three sets of laces and a genuine brass pendant made in Thailand, in a special package – a decadent leather-like shoebox with gold deboss.
Each item in the 24 Kilates x Hummel HIVE “Sepak Takraw” collection is limited to just 333 units, and will be available on December 2 exclusively through 24 Kilates’ Bangkok and Barcelona stores.
A general release will follow on December 7 through Hummel’s online store, as well as Afew, Overkill and other premium retailers.
