For the first time in the history of Racing this years’ “Tour de France” starts in Düsseldorf, Germany. This is the fourth time when the prelude take part in a german city — after Cologne, Frankfurt, and Berlin. On this special occasion the local german retailer Afew was approched by Le Coq Sportif for one unique high-quality collaboration.
It all started with the french brand Le Coq Sportif creating the official “Grand Depart” jersey with the Düsseldorfer coat of arms, in an all-over front print. And continued with a hat, socks and the R1000 silhouette.
Made in France, the R1000 is dressed completely with french materials — a premium pigskin leather on the upper and a super soft nubuck on the toebox.
Afew x Le Coq Sportif R1000 “Grand Départ” is limited to 100 pairs and come with 2 extra pairs of laces in a special wooden box packaging.
50 pairs will release in-store on a first-come first-served basis on July 1st (10am CET hour). The other 50 pairs will sell on the same day (3pm CET hour) via this online raffle .
