Introduced back in 1987, the Gel-Lyte was ASICS fastest and lightest training shoe at that time. The OG (original) Gel-Lyte set the visual standard for the series with its scope for color blocking and reflective forefoot panels for extra visibility. Introducing a tri-density midsole, the silhouette was an efficient creation that liberated the athlete.
This year, ASICS Tiger is celebrating their 30th Anniversary of the silhouette — reissuing the mens original (OG) colorway from 1987. Influenced by the GT-II from 1986, the classic shoe comes dressed up in white upper with leather branding stripes, along with a mix of black and orange mesh — while sitting atop a dual-density midsole and its signature Gel cushioned sole. The orange contrasting accents highlights the sides.
