Surely you all know the KITH’s New Aspen Collection, featuring pieces from brands like Columbia, Adidas, Capita & Union, Tumi and New Era.
Unanticipated and unarguably surprising, the master piece of the capsule remains the Ronnie Fieg x Timberland collaboration.
Fieg toyed around with Timberland‘s 6-inch 40 Below — by cutting 2 inches off the original boot, dressing the uppers in premium waterproof nubuck and quilting the collars with premium leather. Colorwise, Fieg went with the “Olive” and “Bone” colorways for this particular boot.
The third item in the collection is Timberland‘s 6-inch Construct GTX® (Gore-Tex), finished in black nubuck with cream leather collars. The 6-inch is also lined with GoreTex® and sits on a Vibram® sole. All pieces feature subtle Keith lace locks and GoreTex® metallic tabs on the heel area.
The fourth — and last — item in the collection is another 6-inch, an exclusive lavender color that will only be available for “Friends and Family”.
Speaking of availability, only 300 pairs will drop worldwide — for each of the styles described (except the lavender color). All three release this Friday, December 16, priced $240, at all Kith locations and KithNYC.com.
All in all, we really like that Ronnie keeps the original silhouette of the Timberland boots and manages to deliver one of the most emblematic Timberland collaboration of 2016.
