Düsseldorf-based retailer Afew join forces with Saucony for a special release inspired by Goethe. Wolfgang Johann von Goethe is one of the most respected poets of the literature world. The museum dedicated to the poet is close to Afew store and exhibits over 50.000 pieces of his art.
The silhouette Master Shadow 5000 is dressed in rose and grey — a hommage to the colors and the architecture of the in 1763 builded castle. The materials used had to be premium to fit the whole concept — premium suede extends from heel to toe and some elements of the roughened leather are accurately perforated. In reference to Goethe and his literary world heritage, the details of these masterpieces are preciseley reminiscent: the poet himself was perpetuated in a papercut patch on the tongue, one of his famous poem is written on both heels, another poem was printed on the insoles. To get the finishing touch, there is a third poem on the additional laces — in a style of poetry written with a feather.
All the pairs come in a special packaging, with two extra pairs of laces. You will also find inside an exclusive bookmark and a booklet with informations about this special project.
Saucony x Afew Shadow Master 5000 “Goethe” will release on a first-come, first-serve basis instore, on October 14; followed by an online raffle release later at 3PM (C.E.T hour). You can enter the raffle HERE.
