Well, well, a gem from 1994 is seeing the daylight again! Since we have one original pair (yeah, the vintage one) in our own collection, we want to introduce you this obscure pair of Saucony AYA Runner “Fire Red/Flash Purple”. We know just a handful collectors owning a pair of these, worldwide. If you’re one of them, keep ’em OGs safe and grab a retro to rock!

Back in the days Saucony AYA was designed for the real-life superheroes who competed in triathlons, pounding the pavement and bounding along the beachfront. The trail runners of the bygone era have all slowly faded into obscurity, but AYA was built to last much longer than that. Miles longer.

Originally marketed as “The fleet of feet that want to fly!”, the lightweight runner gained popularity in its debut year (1994) on the feet of Australian Greg Welch when he broke the tape at the Ironman World Championship.
Dressed in vibrant purple and bright orange tones throughout a construction that is timeless in all senses, the lightweight runner have a bold layered design. Saucony AYA is constructed with a versatile (toggle) lacing technology, with mesh and leather upper, a lightweight midsole and rubber outsole.
